Dr. Rafael Pi
European Patent Attorney, Ph.D in Chemistry

After completing his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona, he worked at the Erlangen-Nürnberg Universität in a post-doctoral stay sponsored by a fellowship from Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung. Between 1996 and 2002, he was responsible for detergent and bleaching compositions development at the companies S.A. CAMP and Henkel Ibérica, S.A., head of the Polymers Laboratory of the company Barnices Valentine, S.A., and head of the R&D department of the company Cognis Iberia, S.L. His industry experience encompasses the development of surfactants, polymers, and industrial products formulations in the field of detergents, cosmetics, plastics, paints, leather tanning, textile and building industry. From 2002, he works as a consultant on patents and R&D in Huarte&Pi.

Anna Porta
European Patent Attorney. She holds a Degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Barcelona, and a Master in Digital Documentation from the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona)

She started her career in the scientific information field at the Online Chemistry Search Service of the University of Barcelona. In 1987 she moved to S.A. Camp, a firm of the detergents sector, and in 1990 to the pharmaceutical company J. Uriach & Cia, also as an information specialist. In January 2009 she joined the Patent Department of the company Palau Pharma. She brings in a large experience as information searcher, primarily in chemistry, pharmacy, biomedine and related fields, as well as a patent specialist. From 2011, she works as a consultant on documentation and patents in Huarte&Pi.
